Congratulations to all of Frank's students who performed at the Fall Kids & Adult Student Recitals at Humbercrest United Church, Toronto. Frank also performed the 1st movement of Piano Sonata # 32, Opus 111 by L. van Beethoven and some Count Basie.

Congratulations to Frank's students, James, Susan, Elia, Dan, Serena, and Cecilia for their performances at Contemporary Showcase, a festival featuring music composed by Canadians, held during Canada Music Week at Eastminster United Church, Toronto. Extra kudos go out to Cecilia for being awarded a scholarship for her performance of works by Oscar Peterson & Alexina Louie.

ORMTA stands for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. This group organizes auditions where students develop their performance skills and receive helpful adjudication. Students who deliver a particularly fine audition are invited to perform at a Scholarship recital. Elia, Christopher, Tiffany, Dan, Serena, Alice, and Cecilia were invited to the scholarship recital and did super performances!

Frank was a guest performer at "1 Piano - 12 Hands", a piano recital fundraiser for the 519 Community Centre & The Autism Group. This fundriaser took place at the Heliconian Club, 35 Hazelton Ave, Yorkville, Toronto. The 2 solo piano works that Frank performed were Etude # 3 in B-, Opus 8 by Alexander Scriabin & Hungarian Rhapsody # 4 by Franz Liszt.

Frank presented his Spring Student Recitals (Kids early evening, Adults later the same evening) at Church of the Transfiguration, Toronto. Frank also performed 2 solo piano works; Etude # 3 in B-, Opus 8 by Alexander Scriabin & Hungarian Rhapsody # 4 by Franz Liszt. Thanks to all who attended and congratulations all those talented students of all ages!

It was Serena & Bella who recieved Junior & Senior Sir Ernest MacMillan Scholarships respectively for their outstanding performances of a Canadian composition.

Frank was one of 20 pianists performing on 10 pianos in Toronto/Rome Gala Monster Concerts at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall and in Rome. The Rome performances were near the Vatican at the Piazza Risorgimento and in front of the Castel Sant’ Angelo. Click here to see photos from the event.

Frank has article, "The Lowdown of the Octatonic Scale", published in Notes, a magazine for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association, which is distributed to its members across Ontario. The article gives tips and suggestions to music teachers on how to educate their students on this particular scale.

Frank has article, "Technology in the studio", published in Music Matters, the official newsletter of RCM Examinations, which is distributed to music teachers all across Canada. The article gives tips and suggestions to music teachers on how to implement technology into their studios.

Frank along with fellow piano educators, Gladys Odegard, Marlys Neufeldt, Ruth Kazden, & Julia Fong host the first "Adult Music Student Workshop/Discussion" at the home of Gladys Odegard. Topics discussed included technique, dealing with aches & pains, practice scheduling, and performance anxiety.
