Today is the day. It is now the 4th time I’ve had a CD release day and, I get the same feeling in the pit of my stomach and think, ‘will anyone ever listen or like this music?’

You make music for yourself but then when you put it on a CD, you’re making it for everyone else. So you begin to wonder. Will people take the time to listen? Will they like any of it?

I’m fortunate that I’ve already heard good things from kind friends. I also know that I’ll hear some bad things before this is done. But will that be it? The worst is actually when you don’t hear anything. Either nobody has listened or it hasn’t impacted people enough to comment.

Time will tell. For now, I’m going to enjoy release day by actually taking the time to pop in the shiny CD myself and take a listen with fresh ears.

Of course if you want your own copy or know anybody who’d appreciate a CD called Strange Machine, you know what to do…
