Centrediscs is proud to present, What Goes Around, a minimalist chamber album by Canadian composer Frank Horvat. Re-defining what minimalism means in the 21st century, five of the works were composed to create a captivating energy by re-creating a highly layered looping effect, associated with electronic music, with only the use of a single acoustic instrument or family of instruments in each piece.
Percussionist Beverley Johnston, clarinetist Peter Stoll, and harpist Sharlene Wallace join Frank Horvat in performing the mesmerizing ‘solo’ pieces that comprise this new album. Each performer is a leading instrumentalist in their field, intent on interpreting great new contemporary works.

Frank Horvat’s minimalism is attractive, bright-coloured and poppy. Also surprising.
