My Hopes for 2018

A New Year is upon us. I’m not much for resolutions but I do often use this time of year to be forward thinking about what I want to happen in the upcoming new year. And this Holiday Season is no different. Sometimes it’s easy be to pessimistic about the future. But because of my current state, I can’t help but focus on the positive possibilities. So without further delay and in no particular order, here are my hopes for 2018…

I hope that my big string quartet project, The Thailand HRDs, get’s it’s premiere performance and recording.

I hope that my wife Lisa completes her big project of creating a video for each of the compositions that were released on my 4 new albums last fall. (She’s done 15 so far…13 to go!)

I hope that the musical I’m working on, SKI Club, get’s funding to launch a workshop. This step is so important before the show can be shopped for future productions.

I hope 2018 will be the first year ever that the world consumes less fossil fuels.

I hope June of 2018 brings a Stanley Cup parade to the City of Toronto.

I hope more women get the strength to out their abusers and harassers.

I hope we have less war.

I hope we have more love and respect.

May all of your hopes and dreams come true in 2018…Happy New Year!
