Wow, I have never been to a concert like that! It’s so interesting that Zappa was doing stuff like this decades ago but everyone just thought of it as being sort of his “thing”. Is audience interactivity the essential component of Classical music’s survival moving into the future? As the traditional generation of passive concert goer fades, will the younger generation, used to heavy stimulation from technology, demand the same feeling in their concert-hall-going experience? Interesting comments within this video make the answers to this question pretty clear.
