What if our most ancient place of worship is not a church or temple, but the forest itself? Beautifully sung by the Cantabile Chamber Singers, Praying to Trees, setting Kathleen Burke’s evocative text, explores the quiet spirituality of being among trees and the profound sense of awe, connection, and renewal that nature can inspire.
Confined in Everyday Scenes, new music for cello and electronics commissioned by Joann Whang, illuminates the hidden truths of modern-day slavery and human trafficking. Stay tuned for the album release in 2027!

Still, Moving Light is a collection of original works for solo flugelhorn accompanied by an eclectic ensemble featuring fretless electric bass, Fender Rhodes, vibraphone, cello, bass clarinet, and voice. Commissioned by trumpeter John Cord, the suite explores the fragility and resilience of our inner lives, and the restorative, spiritually regenerative power of music and light.
Planet Earth explores humanity’s relationship with the natural world: where we began in relative harmony with our environment, the ways in which we have damaged our planet, the threats we now face, and the possibility of creating a more sustainable future.
