I Am Who I Am Records presents, Praying To Trees, a single of choral music by Canadian composer Frank Horvat and poet Kathleen Burke, performed by the Cantabile Chamber Singers under the direction of Cheryll J. Chung.  

What if our most ancient place of worship is not a church or temple, but the forest itself? In Praying to Trees, inspired by Kathleen Burke’s evocative text, this single explores the quiet spirituality of being among trees and the profound sense of awe, connection, and renewal that nature can inspire. Drawing on the expressive tradition of sacred vocal music, the work seeks to honour the natural world as a source of wonder and spiritual nourishment, inviting us to redirect our reverence toward the cathedral of the forest, where the sacred is not constructed, but grown.
