The cultural association Arte&Arte hosts Miniartextil 35 – The Poetics of Fragility, running from October 4 to November 1, 2026.
Accompanying one of textile artist Parul Thacker’s works is a sound installation composed by Frank Horvat. The work is part of a series called, The Book of the Time-Travellers of the Worlds – a Fathomless Zero. This Chapter 1 sound installation opened at the 2024 Venice Biennale of Art and has since travelled to Jodhpur, India and Museo Novecento in Florence, Italy. It returns to Italy for this 2026 exhibition in Como.
The 2026 edition revolves around the theme of fragility, understood not as a flaw but as a value: the ability to understand and accept one’s own limits, to reinvent oneself, adapt to change, and rebuild when something breaks. Textile art, with its language of threads, knots and weaves, gives shape to these subtle tensions, generating works that are at once fragile and solid.
Miniartextil takes the form of a citywide exhibition across 10 venues in the Como area, featuring installations by artists from Italy and more than 30 countries around the world.
The Book of the Time-Travellers of the Worlds will be on display at Chiesa di Sant’Agata vecchia.
