BIOGRAPHIES:
Arianne Ewing-Chow:
Hwa-Ing Arianne Ewing-Chow is a private piano teacher, adjudicator, performer, examiner with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and founder and organizer of the ‘Music with a Cause’ concerts. Arianne is a member of the Toronto Heliconian Club, and has been Co-President of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association North York-York Region Branch since 2006. She received her Bachelor of Music from U of T, and an Artist-Teacher diploma from the Glenn Gould Professional School. Her former teachers include James Anagnoson, Boyanna Toyich and Carol Birtch. She has performed and attended international masterclasses in Italy and Germany where she studied with Luiz de Moura Castro, Brian Ganz and John Perry. In August 2003, Arianne performed in the Toronto-Rome gala Monster 10-piano concert with Toyich’s International Projects.
Frank Horvat:
Frank Horvat is an active pianist and composer. He holds an ARCT Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition from the University of Toronto. From performing in classical recitals to playing in rock bands, Frank maintains an active schedule of performances of his own compositions and the works of others. His portfolio of compositions consists of chamber, electronic, musical theatre, film, and large ensemble works. Janet Stachow:
Janet Stachow graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music (Music Education and Composition) and Bachelor of Education. She holds a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College in England, Artist-Teacher and A.R.C.T diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Janet is the Oakville Children’s Choir’s Associate Music Director and the Conductor for the Intermediate Choir. Janet has been with the OCC since its fourth season and is the author of several compositions performed by the choir.
