Composer and pianist, Frank Horvat, releases his second CD of solo piano music, “A Little Dark Music“, on Earth Hour 2010 (March 27) and kicks off a 60+ city concert tour of Canada and the United States.
Putting the planet in the light, this tour takes place from March 2010 to April 2011 and will showcase eco-friendly behaviour and businesses.

The Concert
An engaging, full-length piano concert featuring Frank’s original compositions and improvisations. With an unpredictable meld of musical styles, these pieces without words tell deeply personal stories. Hear from the composer himself about what influences his works.
Sustainability of the Green Keys Tour
- Concert venues powered by Bullfrog Power
- No printed programmes at the concerts, a digital screen will be used to display the programme instead
- Sustainable and public modes of transportation used as much as possible on tour
- All travel will be carbon offset
- New CD’s packaging printed on FSC paper using vegetable inks
- Download cards (made with recyclable plastic) offered instead of having to purchase physical product
- All sheet music for sale printed on FSC paper
- Public transit available for all venues or consider carpooling, walking or biking.
Things to know about this Concert
- During the second half of this concert, the venue will have little or no light. Those who find the darkness overwhelming are welcome to step out of the hall at any time during the performance â you might want to bring a flashlight!
