A Little Dark Music

A Little Dark Music by Frank Horvat

It’s arpeggio-filled pop-classical-style music reminiscent of Philip Glass’ solo piano work.

An ambient yet powerful collection of compositions that bring a sense of peace and contentment to listeners. A Little Dark Music features four introspective tracks exploring real-world themes such as the environment, poverty and Sept. 11. This album includes the frequently performed piece, Earth Hour, a 60-minute composition, experienced in the dark, that gives audiences an almost otherworldly experience.

Released on Earth Hour 2010, A Little Dark Music contains compositions inspired by environmental themes. A portion of CD sales was donated to the World Wildlife Fund. From March 2010 to April 2011, Frank presented The Green Keys Tour, a 60+ city concert tour across Canada and the US that showcased eco-friendly behaviour.

Earth Hour really should be heard as one continuous piece, a journey… Highly recommended… [A Little Dark Music] will make waves musically.
